Saunders "Slide" Sermons: (Vocalist, Trombone)

A 25-year-old native of Miami, Slide is currently on tour with Hidden Beach's Mike Phillips as a trombonist and an opening vocal act.

A former member of nationally touring bands, "The Chapter", "Concept Live", and "Big Daddy Blues & Red Hot Java", Slide will light up any stage with his dynamic sounds on the trombone.

Influenced by jazz musicians such as Robert Trowers & "JJ" Johnson, Slide has affiliations with many bands and jazz ensembles.

Slide's resume includes appearances with Jill Scott, A European tour with Big Daddy Blues & Red Hot Java, performances with Bobby Watson, Jimmy Heath, and The Phat Cat Players. A tour with “The Maintenance Man”, an adaptation of the book written by Michael Baisden, starring Billy Dee Williams and Darius McCrary.

Slide is also featured on The Chapter's debut project, "The Return of Real Soul Music" on several numbers. The main highlight is the "Derrty Jazz" where he perfectly synced with the recently deceased Marques Adams.
